Elvis Presley

The 1950's was a new era of music. Rebellious teenagers who wanted a fun time attended rock-and-roll concerts performed by many musicians including Chuck Berry, Little Richard, Buddy Holly, and Elvis Presley. The new music appealed to both white and black people. Members of the "Beat Generation", called beatniks expressed spirituality and the need to release from the world of money and property.
