The 1952 Election was a contest between Republican and World War II officer Dwight (Ike) Eisenhower and Adlai Stevenson. The phrase "I like Ike" was used to support Eisenhower, who won a landslide victory. He had 55.2 percent of the popular vote and over 70 percent of the electoral vote.
